FLYTRI inter-airline Championships powered by Azores Airlines

Azores Airlines, which itself was previously known as SATA Internacional, is a Portuguese airline based in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel in the autonomous archipelago of the Azores.

The new Azores Airlines logo utilises the tail fin of a whale, a distinct symbol of the Azores, as the region is currently one of the largest whale sanctuaries in the world.

Are you member of the airlines staff and active triathlete or you are ready to finish your first triathlon?

The object of brand new FLYTRI Championships powered by Azores Airlines shall be to foster good relations among those employed in civil aviation by promoting and encouraging participating in triathlon.

The Ocean Lava FLYTRI Inter-airline Championships is open to employees from all the world’s airlines, operating scheduled or charter flights or any airline related company or association. Participants have the option to enter either the Ocean Lava Azores Islands Half or Sprint distance and team relays for both distances are also on the schedule.

Azores Airlines, the airline of the Azores islands, is on-board as a main sponsor of this year’s new Ocean Lava Azores Islands Triathlon.
